No the file was not there.

OK .. init 3 was a magic phrase!
KDE went up and now seems working fine.
Now next step will be to build the Kernel. I will let you know ..
I hope I do not have to bore you anymore with problems.
Anyway, as soon as I will have everything working I will reinstall everything
following
the right and now clear steps and workarounds.
One question.
I want to have 2 big partition 1 for Linux and 1 for NT 4.0.
Is it better that I start from scratch doing the installation of NT and later
Linux.
Or is it enough that I run mkfs on the partition that I reserver for NT and
than I try to
install NT on that ?
