Assume I have an Itanium machine, can I compile SGI Pro64 source code on
the machine and get an executable SGI Pro64 compiler? If so, which
targ_*
directory among targcygnus_ia32_ia64, targ_ia32_ia64_nodebug, targ_ia64
should I compile?
We were working on this before the project was discontinued.
We could build the compiler, but it had more failures then the
ia32-host compiler (and I'm not sure if the sources we last released
had all the necessary changes for building). So if you want to
push this through, be aware that there is work yet to be done.
As far as where to build it, we just built it under targia64.
