Hello,
I am looking into the (control) speculation abilities of the sgi
compiler. I was looking into the gcm.cxx file in be/cg.
There is some piece of code to decide to do speculation but it
seems that in actual practice, speculation is never done. I tried it with
one of the spec2000 applications as well.
Also, I remembered to use the -O3 option.
Is control speculation properly implemented in the compiler??
If yes, are there some severe constraints??
Thanks in advance,
Vinod
