Description of problem:
pmval --container wrong <metric> or pmval --container <ambiguous> <metric> both
print out:

pmval: pmGetInDom(60.3): Bad file descriptor

Which is probably technically correct but not very user-friendly.

In case there is only one container running, say abcdefg, then --container ab
still works but --container a fails with the above error, this is perhaps
expected.
