No, pmie will not follow later.

The pmie control file does not have a "dir" field, and the closest would be the "logfile" field, but allowing shell fragments here is (a) not as useful as in the pmlogger case, and (b) breaks the pmie_* scripts when they try to use the logfile field from the control file to match up the running pmie processes.

So I'm going to leave the pmie control file alone, pending someone making a case to the contrary.
