Drats, it looks like even ancient dump format 0 is not consistent
between versions/installations.  Probably will need something coarse
and greppy, or perhaps a pickle decoder in python...


I think strings(1) might be the salvation here, with a bit if sed'ing on the back end.

Still investigating ...
