As explained elsewhere, this is not true.  A custom pmlogger
configuration for some basic metrics unaffected by the PR1106
bugs is possible and useful.

Those core PCP bugs have been in areas where others' technical input
has been repeatedly and specifically rejected.  Holding this code
hostage on account of those problems is inappropriate.
