yes that sounds good - it would be even better if we could set up one
of these systems in our QA lab.

        are there any 'cpu*' symlinks below /sys/devices/system/node/node0 ?
        and does /sys/devices/system/node/__node0/cpumap exist?  This is where
        the PCP "linux" PMDA gets it's node-cpu map from.

    I see a cpumap file, as can be seen above.

    [root@pcp-test-shir3 node0]# less cpumap
    00000001
    cpumap (END)

that cpumap is in a different format to my system (fedora fc19 / x86_64).
Can you run the follwoing please to check on the node-cpu mapping on your
system :

# pminfo -DAPPL2 -L -f kernel.{percpu,pernode}.cpu.user
