Perhaps these files should not be in /etc.

What if the pmlogger config files could also be found in a new /var/lib/pcp/config/pmlogger directory (dejau vu?) ... this could be owned by the pcp user (like the pmda dir in /var/lib/pcp/config).

Then we move the generated files from below /etc to below /var, but keep the control files in /etc.

Same logic of course for pmie.

Thoughts?
