Not sure when this was fixed, but ...
The metric sample.bad.unknown is one which is in the PMNS, but attempts to
retrieve the descriptor return Unknown or illegal metric identifier ... so
looks likely to be comparable to Greg's long-gone case.
pmchart handles this just fine ... navigating through the PMNS to sample.bad is
fine, expanding this node shows the children as:
- nosupport (this is OK)
- unknown ... a pop-up warning reports that the descriptor cannot be fetched
and the name in the PMNS navigation window is shown with a rule through the
"unknown" name text ... dismiss the pop-up, and the "unknown" metric is not
selectable in the PMNS navigation window ... pmchart seems to survive just fine
afterwards.
