Fix pmval?  It should return a useful status I think.

Get over it. :)  I don't think its worth the pain of yet more packages
(its possible though) - it all gets too complex & confusing after awhile,
with a package structure thats split up to the micro-component level.

Its more that it hasn't been added yet.  It is planned.  I had also
been thinking about introducing QtScript to pmdumptext (and pmchart
of course) to do derived metrics a different way, just for the Qt
based tools ... but not clear where that will stand with Kens derived
metrics stuff - may still be warranted, but maybe not.
