Found a bug in the handling of Windows line endings - could your pmlogger
configuration file have had Windows style CRLF line endings (i.e. "\r\n")?
With that fix in place, I was able to create archives on Windows. Didn't
see a timeout though, so not sure this explains that side of the problem.
