I'll leave this to you guys, I can't really test any of this.
The only bit of info I have that may help is...

*nod* ... pcp-gui has only a "Conflicts: pcp-pro" in it.  It doesn't
(try to rpm-) "Replace" anything.  The Conflicts line is there to
block attempts to install two packages with pmchart/pmtime.

Yeah, over time this situation should improve, but for now its not
at all ideal for SGI folks who want pcp-sgi/pcp-pro, etc.
