Good work.
It appears the initscripts don't install correctly for SLES9/10.
They install into /etc/rc.d/init.d/ instead of /etc/init.d/
Looking through the spec file to see what's going on now.

Subject: [pcp] PCP 2.8.0 released
Hi all,
PCP 2.8.0 is out there, in the git trees and now in binary/source
packages as well (tar, rpm, deb, dmg). Enjoy! A list of changes and
the download location is at http://oss.sgi.com/projects/pcp .
The latest stable PCP GUI tree and images are in the same place.
Many thanks to all those who have contributed to these releases.
This is the first stable PCP version with MMV PMDA, Lustre PMDA, cluster
PMDA, Linux bonding, netfilter, NFSv4, Infiniband, KVM, and VMware
PMDAs, along with numerous additional kernel metrics, Perl APIs and of
course bug fixes. We've been running this code in our production
environment for some time - I cannot recommend it highly enough!
Work is continuing on in many directions - the next major version of PCP
should be v3.0 with native Windows support and installer.
PCP GUI development efforts are focused on the open source pmview+
implementation, continued work on pmchart of course, and both of these
with native Windows support (in addition to Linux and Mac).
cheers.
