Interesting. Can you also try 'pre-loading' the TX ring with a bunch of packets and then writing the values 0, 1, 2, 3 ... n-1 to the TXD register with back-to-back MMIO writes (instead of doing a single write of the value 'n'), and check what inter-packet gap you get then? cheers, Lennert |
