I have been troubled by a problem regarding skbuff allocation. The scenario
is that when i get a packet using netfilter hook, i convert it to another
packet (more precisely i do ipv4 to ipv6 translation).. for this i just
allocate a new buffer and copy the data from the old one to the new packet
and drop the old packet (i.e. return NF_STOLEN). However, when i allocate
this new buffer using alloc_skb, i get a memory area which is already
pointed to by the older skbuff. Again this problem happens only
sometimes...and is hard to produce in a particular pattern.
Is this something really serious or am i missing something??
