Did you read something but the last sentence? 8)8)

2.4 _did_ _not_ change anything here. BKL was equally useless in 2.2.


Andi, seems, it is time to remind that BKL in networking was
removed for several days. Think, why it was so easy.
[ Hint #1: softnet required much more time.
  Hint #2: network control paths are preemptable even in 2.2. ]
