This version supports an enhanced mode of data gathering -- recording "hold" times (mean and max), in addition to version 1.0's mean "wait" times. Also, "wait" times are reported with both mean and max values. A compatible version 1.1 of the lockstat command is also available. Patches are available against the 2.2.12 and 2.3.18 kernel sources. -- John Hawkes From owner-lockmeter@oss.sgi.com Thu Oct 21 12:07:39 1999 Received: (from majordomo@localhost) by oss.sgi.com (8.9.3/8.9.3) id MAA11835 for lockmeter-outgoing; Thu, 21 Oct 1999 12:07:39 -0700 X-Authentication-Warning: oss.sgi.com: majordomo set sender to owner-lockmeter@oss.sgi.com using -f Received: from sgi.com (sgi.SGI.COM [192.48.153.1]) by oss.sgi.com (8.9.3/8.9.3) with ESMTP id MAA11832 for ; Thu, 21 Oct 1999 12:07:37 -0700 Received: from babylon.engr.sgi.com ([192.26.80.26]) by sgi.com (980305.SGI.8.8.8-aspam-6.2/980304.SGI-aspam: SGI does not authorize the use of its proprietary systems or networks for unsolicited or bulk email from the Internet.) via ESMTP id MAA2607913 for ; Thu, 21 Oct 1999 12:11:01 -0700 (PDT) mail_from (hawkes@babylon.engr.sgi.com) Received: (from hawkes@localhost) by babylon.engr.sgi.com (980427.SGI.8.8.8/970903.SGI.AUTOCF) id MAA47459 for lockmeter@oss.sgi.com; Thu, 21 Oct 1999 12:09:29 -0700 (PDT) Date: Thu, 21 Oct 1999 12:09:29 -0700 (PDT) From: hawkes@babylon.engr.sgi.com (John Hawkes) Message-Id: <199910211909.MAA47459@babylon.engr.sgi.com> To: lockmeter@oss.sgi.com Subject: Lockmeter patch available against 2.3.22 Sender: owner-lockmeter@oss.sgi.com Precedence: bulk FYI, the latest version of lockmeter (spinlock metering) is available as a patch against 2.3.22.
