Is that possible? Also, is it true that gprof can't profile the kernel as it required the exit(2) or a return from main() for it to work? I'm only asking as http://oss.sgi.com/projects/kernprof/faq.html#Q6 makes no mention of a difference between kernprof and gprof being that gprof can't do kernel profiling.
