Everything builds just fine for me. This sort of error, for me, usually comes with not having my build environment 'quite right'. My initial guess is the CLASSPATH variable is not set up correctly. If I 'unset CLASSPATH' then do a 'make clobber', I get the same error you're seeing. Here's my CLASSPATH: export CLASSPATH=.:..:$HOME/jessie:$HOME/jessie/help:$HOME/jessie/javahelp/jhall.jar:$SWING_HOME:$SWING_HOME/swingall.jar:$JAVA_HOME/lib/classes.zip Can you double check your CLASSPATH?
