I haven't seen this particular problem with Jikes, but I haven't checked it with Redhat 6.1. By any chance were you using the new Jikes? This may be a valuable clue towards the problem that we have been seeing under Javac. We thought it was a Javac, but this leads me to believe that it might be a very subtle error on our part. We shall look into it and get back to you. -Dean Johnson Tool Hooligan Jessie Project Silicon Graphics Inc. I'm hoping to get people excited about pursuing Jessie as an ACT supported solution at some point in the near future. With that in mind, I'd like to pose the following questions to the group: - What are the key Jessie features that you think deserve special attention? (Panel UI, multiple debug session support, etc.) - Can you suggest any test cases can I develop to highlight Jessie's strengths relative to other interfaces. (DDD, for instance.) - What configurations (jit, Irix vs. Linux, etc.) can I use to show Jessie in the best light? - Are there rough edges which I should steer clear of? - If you've demonstrated Jessie in the past, do you have any general suggestions or insights I should be aware of? Anyway - this obviously isn't a complete list, but I hope it gives you a rough idea where I'm coming from. I'd be very grateful for any comments or suggestions. The generated file is utils_FilUtl.h. This is the prescribed way to use the Java Native Interface (see http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/native1.1/TOC.html for more information). As you might guess, we use this to interface with some platform dependent code written in C. I've since changed this This used to be true, and still partially is. utils_FilUtl.h is still generated as before. There are now 2, slightly, different version of FilUtl.java. One that is for the native build and one for the non-native (pure). I just pull in the requested one at this point. You can now do a 'make pure' in Jessie to get a 'non-native' version. I needed to do this to get a non-native version working on NT. (Though I'm still buried in that task.)
