I've reviewed and done some of Chris Scharver's patches, but this issue hasn't been covered. The file /usr/lib/libfl.a will cause a build error otherwise." With a different IVPREFIX, things worked fine for me. Yours is left as '/', as evidenced by the -L//usr/lib. If you have fink installed, you might try using the version included with it. I think it works since it's already installing into a different destination.
