For the case showed below, only the cone is translated in the Inventor Xt rendering window, but the triangle meshes that generated by addTriangleCallback() shows that both the sphere and cone are translated. #Inventor V2.1 ascii Sphere { } Transform { translation 4 0 0 } Cone { } I would appreciate it if you can give me some ideas. I use SGI Open Inventor 2.1 on Linux. Alex __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Are you sure the case is that they are both translated, and rather not that they are both _not_ being translated? The latter case would for instance happen if you from the callback picked up their local/object coordinate system coordinates, instead of getting world coordinates. After I printed out all the points, I found out that no objects were translated. The addTriangleCallback() only applies to the object's local coordinate system. I am new to Inventor and working on Ghost (PHANToM) and Inventor. The coordinate systems just confused me. Thanks again for your time.
