I've noticed this behavior on linux systems following a panic or hang. I haven't seen it when the system is shut down cleanly so that the csaacct shutdown script (/etc/rc.d/init.d/csaacct) is called to stop CSA so that the /var/csa/day/pacct file is closed. --- Marlys Kohnke Silicon Graphics Inc. kohnke@sgi.com 655F Lone Oak Drive (651)683-5324 Eagan, MN 55121
