Hi, Martin. Most of the patches apply somewhat cleanly. There
are always offset issues if you're trying to use a previously
patched kernel.
Our development tree is off of the base kernels sans patches.
As far as a major release, 4.0 is expected at the end of this week.
I would say wait until that release comes out, as any patches after
that release will be based on 4.0.
