Are you seeing "Dump complete." or any series of dots on the screen?
Also, do you see messages like "Writing dump header", etc.?

What is your dump device (/dev/vmdump -> ?)

You'd only get an IOCK condition if you had an NMI, and you shouldn't
have an NMI if you're calling panic() (they are two different types
of system crashes).  do_nmi() shouldn't be called at all.
