Hi,
I just downloaded the lkcdutils-1.0.tar.gz and lkcdutils-1.0-1.i386.rpm files
from the 3.0/lkcdutils directory. I was able to untar the source tarball and
install the rpm. Based on this, it appears that there must be a problem in how
you downloaded the files. I downloaded the files via web browser. If you
used FTP, make sure that you download the files in binary mode. Also, what is
the architecture of your target machine. Regarding the tar archive, it has been
compressed, so either uncompress it (gunzip) or use the -z option.
Following are checksum's for these two files (using GNU sum's -s option):
22817 374 lkcdutils-1.0.tar.gz
21215 1596 lkcdutils-1.0-1.i386.rpm
Thanks,
Tom
