Problems compiling

I'm trying to get kernprof to work on the 2.2.16 kernel... the first
thing I did was try to compile kernprof, and got the following:

make: *** No rule to make target '/usr/include/linux/profile.h', needed
by kernprof.o'. Stop.

Obviously, I'm missing an important include file -- can anyone tell me
where I can get this?
