| Have static blocks. You actually do good job with this below the carousel. I understand your logic but I assure you that the logic doesn't align with what users are actually doing. EVERY client I've had or analytics profile I've looked at has had the same result: like 80% of people click on the first block and little traffic goes to the others or in some cases whatever block has a call to action if the others don't (which actually take note of that too and make sure you have a CTA within images meant for navigation on your site... users will click through much less if you don't). |
| When it comes to carousels though, essentially the information becomes scattered (first time visitors/not loyal customers) and customers don't follow or get annoyed with it if they actually do care and are trying to go through it (your loyal customer). This same space can be used for static blocks - 1 big square one on the left with 4 on the right is my favorite for space maximization within a rectangular space across the screen allows for you to keep it easily above the fold but organize it however you see fit. |
