Airport: | My 2006 CTS runs fine once started. However, in the last month or so it's had difficulty cranking on occasion.
When I turn the ignition to start, it sometimes delays to crank. It's as if there is a pause. Today, it actually wouldn't start at all and I had to turn the ignition to off and then back to start a couple times before it started. This has caused my Check Engine Light to come on a few times.
It gives the following codes:
P0523: Oil Pressure Sensor Circuit High
P0601: Internal Control Module Memory Check
One one occasion It recorded misfire codes P0300, P0301, P0302; but that only happened once, on a delayed start.
It doesn't seem to matter if the engine is cold or warm.
Any ideas or suggestions on what to test would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Brandon |

Reuse your dead batteries.
Many people don't know that they can reuse their old batteries that don't work anymore.
![Batteries]()
- Never buy batteries again
- Make your dead battereis work again

ith sound, I believe the cause is one of the following: (as it sounds familiar to all of the below) | | -Lower control arm bushings | | -Strut rod bushing | | -Engine mount | | | | (This post was edited by 2007FordEscape on Oct 13, 2016, 2:37 PM) | | | | | | Tom Greenleaf | | Ultimate Carjunky / Moderator | | Tom Greenleaf profile image | | | Oct 13, 2016, 10:43 PM | | | Post #4 of 9 (88 views) | | Re: Help diagnose my vehicle noise Sign In | | 2 cents worth on this type noise: Some vehicles (about any) control arm/strut type bushings will get a chirp/squeak from rubber to shiny metal where they do rub some normally. Rule out worn parts that should be replaced! | | |
| Solution if so: Spray with nozzle spray either a Silicone light spray. If gone for a while and returns use thicker rubber friendly grease, WD-40 is mostly rubber friendly (a fish oil) and repeat as needed. Noise if not a real wear problem will go away. | | | | Other spots include sway bars bushings, top of strut bushings, inner fender plastic to metal fender, bumper filler parts etc. | | | | Totally avoid spraying brake friction parts or hot exhaust parts without fail with flammable lubes of any kind. If an exhaust part/joint meant to flex not broken just fussy the silver brush in cap Anti-Seize by Permatex should work safely, | |
