Because stroke is a leading cause of death in the US you probably know someone who has had one. There are a couple things we can do upfront to make sure we never have one.

1. Know about AFib (atrial fibrillation, or AF)
- AFib increased your stroke likelihood over 500% regardless of race or age*. Even worse, it doubles the risk of death. Stopping AFib can stop a stroke.
