Keith, can you give kdb_syslog_data in kernel/printk.c a generic name and put it inside CONFIG_DEBUG_KERNEL instead of CONFIG_KDB? I have a patch for xmon to print the dmesg buffer. It can use this helper function to get the pointers to the dmesg buffer.
