Eddie Dong at intel has supplied an xscale patch for kdb v4.0.  I have
not tested it, xscale testers can get the patch from
ftp://oss.sgi.com/projects/kdb/download/v4.0/kdb-v4.0-2.4.19-xscale-0.2.bz2
