I tried the i386 patches for a 2.4.18 kernel and
system hung when i tried to get to the kdb prompt .
Any body facing the same problem.

With the 2.1 patches Ive been trying to set
breakpoints
for sock_init_data and inet_create in the kernel . I
can drop into kdb mode to set the breakpoints but when
the breakpoints are triggered the system hangs. Every
once in a while the system hangs when i try to just
get to the kdb prompt.

I have been doing all this under single user mode. Is
there something weird about my problems or do other
people also run into these issues . Do let me know

thanks
