I am sure you will be surprised at this letter that I am sending to you as we have never met before. But let me introduce myself to you. I am Mr Abdullah Sow, the Auditor General of one of the prime banks here in Dakar Senegal, during the course of our auditing , I discovered a dormant account opened in our bank since 1997 and till date nobody has operated on the account. On enquiries, I discovered that the owner of the account died long ago in a plane crash along with his family without leaving a heir/will, hence the reason why the account remains dormant.
Therefore,with a personal conviction of trust and confidence,I am soliciting for your co-operation to stand as a close relative of the deceased because you share the same surname with him.I assure you that I will facilitate the process of having the deposit transferred to your care within a few banking days.All I need from you is your maximum co-operation because the deposit can not be approved to an indigen here as his close relative or next of kin.
Since nobody is coming forward to claim this money I don't want it to be trasferred into the government's treasury as unclaimed bill.The banking laws here stipulates that if such money remained unclaimed after certain years,the money will be transfered into the government's treasury as unclaimed fund.
At the conclusion,I am proposing a joint investment with you or we will share the money in a ratio of 60/40.
Please,do not to consider this proposal against moral justification because there are many other aspects of life we may contribute with this money to assist the less privileged and the needy in our society than having it embezzled by government officials when transferred into the government's account as an unclaimed bill.
