We tested the Nvidia GeForce 5900 ultra and compared it against the Nvidia
GeForce 4 Ti 4600. We came up with disappointing results. viewperf yields
a result of less than a factor of two improvement. We tested loading a
huge mesh with Open Inventor, one moving the other static and we estimate
a factor of two
improvement. From our understanding, the new 5900 card is supposed to
handle more vertices/sec than the 4600 by more than just a factor of two.
There are other factors that go into the speed of the graphics display,
but we're wondering what others' results are.
