Yeah, I just recently enabled the overlay planes code in my performer
tree. A little caution about the drivers: the glibc2.2 (aka
RedHat 7.1) version of the drivers are very unstable (it even says so on
their website). My experience is that when I run a program that uses
overlays and then exit the program, it also exits the Xserver.
The glibc2.1 drivers are suppsedly stable. I haven't tested with them
though..too busy.
