FAM 2.7.0 on Linux 2.4.24: neither IMon nor DNotify

I'm just trying to install FAM 2.7.0 on Linux 2.4.24.

I tried to apply imon-0.0.2-2.4.17 patch to kernel 2.4.24 without 
success: several failed hunks.
Then I tried to apply the dnotify-2.6.7.patch to FAM 2.7.0 with a few 
failed. Can't apply because it tried to patch inexistent files.
What shall I do?

Is FAM innusable in Linux right now?
