Hello,
I'm a Newbee in Linux- programming.
I create a new Project in my Company to watch directorys and files using
with fam and list them in a mysql database.
There more than 20000 directorys and more than millions of files to watch at
several volumes.
I think I can't connect more than 500 connections with fam. Is this right?
What can i do to connect more connections ?
the plattform is SUSE- Linux 8.0 or SUSE Enterprise-Server 8
I'm programming with Borlands Kylix 2 and next with Kylix 3
I think its not a problem using c++ or kylix, but I'm not shure.
I use the signal way with fctrl and DNotify until yet im my project.
The problem is, I can only wath the local machine and the method is
susceptible to Errors.
So I think fam is the better way.
