Are you sure? I don't see that:
bash-2.05$ mkdir /tmp/foo
bash-2.05$ ~/bin/fam_test -d /tmp/foo
FAMMonitorDirectory("/tmp/foo")
FAMMonitorDirectory("/tmp/foo")
DIR  /tmp/foo:   /tmp/foo Exists
DIR  /tmp/foo:   /tmp/foo EndExist
