Ok my mistake I didnt uninstall my old fam installation so I uninstalled my
old fam and installed the rpms that you made.... They installed fine with no
decrepancies. So I try starting efsd which connects to fam and it doesnt
connect well nothing connects to fam at all and I did ps -ax to see if fam
was running and it showing that it is running. Now is there a way that I
can see fam running to what ports and is there a way I can truly tell that
its not working??

Thanks
Nick

Excuse me? Can you describe this a bit more detailed?
The fam rpms (mine) do *not* require, or in any way mention inetd. They
explicitly require and use xinetd. If you don't have xinetd installed it
will not work.
