Well Ill say this after I tried compiling the source rpm I d/l'd the regular
rpms and see if I could get them to install. Now when it installed it
installed just like the regular fam rpms.. trying to start inetd and there
isnt a inetd.... so I reinstalled with the --nodeps option and it installs
fine but still I get nothing from fam , it starts but nothing connects to
it... Just liek the regular rpm from the sgi web page...

Thanks
Nick Hudson

Something looks very strange. The release number of the devel package is
not "root/usr/share/man/man3/fam-3x.gz". I don't know why this happens.
