Well, I spent some time this weekend looking through things, and I think I've
found a good reason to learn more about the Linux kernel.  There are some more
areas that I need to research first, such as wrapfs, and then I'll send a
message to the list asking for comments on possible designs.  I guess one of the
most important things is making imon acceptable for inclusion into the main
kernel?

Also, the 2.4.0-test6 patch does work on -test7.
