This behaviour is device-specific and depends upon the particular
hardware capabilities of the device as well as the underlying driver.

The OSS audio dm module (the only audio dm module currently available
in the dmSDK Linux distribution) doesn't currently support this feature
since OSS doesn't support mixing multiple streams of audio.
