But why do /dev/discs/* exist?
IMHO people use (will use) /dev/discs to configure their box. Only after
some time they upgrade the system, and the translation /dev/discs in
/dev/{ide,scsi} will be difficult. It should be a method to force discs to
be loaded in a user choice order
